Hey!! I am a 140lb Male who just raced at an erg regatta. I placed 3rd with a time of 7:40 in the under 140 catagorie. Normally someone would be happy with third but 2 months earlier (straight off the water) I took a 2k at 1:51.6 average. My goal for this reatta was sub 1:50 two months ago... I train 4-5 times a week with my team. Why am I not getting better??? a kid who is 130 beat me for 2nd. It's like I'm not trying hard or something but that is not the truth! Ugh help please!

Make sure you’re not overtraining. Sometimes you can burn out and you won’t get better as quickly. Also, the lower your splits go the harder it will be to PR. Make sure you’re putting everything you can into your workouts.
