I am going out on the water as a first time coxswain today. What should i wear, remember, and bring?

Wear: layers, layers, layers. Even if it’s warm out, you’re probably going to be cold. Make sure your top layer is waterproof.

Remember: your calls and how to steer and turn, plus any little things your rowers or coaches tell you.

Bring: all my coxes have little fanny packs with stuff like extra spacers, chapstick, hair ties, their wrenches, tape and so on. Don’t forget your cox box!
